Description

GINA (the Genetic Information Non-discrimination Act) is a U.S. law to  protect people’s genetic information at work and in the health insurance market (with some exceptions). Students consider that since scientists rely on people contributing  genetic information to research databases and participating in clinical trials, what sorts of rights and protections are extended to them via this legislation, and examine why some people might participate in research and seek to learn about their DNA.
