This National Academies Press publication summarizes the proceedings of a convention that explored the biosecurity implications of developments in the life sciences. The workshop was convened by the Royal Society, in cooperation with the International Council for Science, the InterAcademy Panel on International Issues (now IAP—the Global Network of Science Academies), and the U.S. National Academy of Sciences on October 31 - November 3, 2010.
