Humane genomics education can reduce racism
The results of a randomized trial by Donovan and colleagues suggest that "humane genomics education"—a curricular intervention that goes beyond basic, Mendelian genetics to tackle complex genomic concepts—result in less belief in genetic essentialism and support a scientifically accurate understanding of race as a social construction.

Public opinions and attitudes toward non-invasive prenatal testing on Reddit: Content and sentiment analysis
Xiao, Yan, and Hayeems analyzed posts and comments from four Reddit communities focused on non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and found that most users thought that NIPT was beneficial or worthwhile and expressed more positive emotions than negative emotions when discussing NIPT. It is notable that “anticipation”, “trust” and “joy” were the sentiments expressed most often.

Harvey and Gurvir’s Law: Ontario Bill for Quality Prenatal Information about Down Syndrome: Terminology, feasibility, and ethical issues
Lemoine and colleagues discuss a bill reintroduced to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, which aims to end the bias and stigma associated with a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome. They advocate for specific word choice revisions, including having clinicians recommend rather than require a 48-hour waiting period to make an informed choice.
