This National Academies Press publication summarizes the proceedings of a workshop that explored the evidence base for clinical application of stem cell technologies and ways to assure quality. The workshop was hosted by the Institute of Medicine, the National Academy of Sciences, and the International Society for Stem Cell Research in November 2013.
