Instructor (non-tenure track) - Department of Bioethics

The Department of Bioethics at the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the Instructor level. Applicants must have a terminal degree (PhD, JD, MD, etc.) at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will have a strong record of scholarly and educational activity in Medical/Health Humanities, Social Medicine, Bioethics, or related areas. In particular, we are seeking candidates with expertise in a number of areas, including the ethics of mental health, disability studies and justice, and medical humanities. The successful candidate will contribute to the Department’s teaching programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and medical school levels. Candidates will be encouraged to collaborate with the Department’s multidisciplinary faculty in scholarship and service activities. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and scholarship. This position will begin ideally in Summer or Fall 2023, but start date is negotiable.
