ELSI • GC Exchange: How do employers make decisions about new health and wellness benefits?
ELSI • GC Exchange, hosted by The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine, is an educational series designed for genetic counselors. This series provides a unique opportunity to earn Category 1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) while exploring various Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues (ELSI) pertinent to genetic counseling.
Forrest Briscoe, PhD (Professor of Organizational Behavior at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations) and Lena Chaihorsky (Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Payor Innovation at Alva10) will be presenting “How do employers make decisions about new health and wellness benefits? Current practices related to workplace genetic testing, and future innovations for the role of diagnostics in the employer-based US health care ecosystem."
During this talk, Forrest and Lena will identify positive drivers and negative barriers to health and wellness benefit adoption by employers, as well as positive drivers and negative barriers to expanding the role of diagnostic innovations in employer-based health care.
