TraineeHub | K Awards
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Career Development Awards, commonly known as K awards, provide funding to support research training and mentorship to prepare postdoctoral and early-career scholars for independent research careers. These awards can offer funding and opportunities to support the independent career development of emerging ELSI scholars.
Join us on May 2nd for an introduction to two types of NIH grants for research training and career development. We will cover some basics of the grant application process and explore the purpose of the K99/R00 and K01 awards. A panel of K award recipients will share their firsthand experiences navigating the grant application process, offer practical advice for prospective applicants, and reflect on the impact these awards have had on their research and careers.
