The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Associate for a two-year non-laboratory research position. The selected candidate will support the Director of the Center, Dr. Amy McGuire, on funded research related to neuroethics (e.g., data sharing and brain privacy, predictive testing for Alzheimer’s disease) and psychedelics (e.g., healthcare gatekeeping and the clinical integration of psychedelic medicine). This position is expected to begin in 2024.

We seek a candidate who has a strong interest and background in research ethics, is willing to serve on an IRB, and ideally has participated in research ethics consultations.  The position currently has 0.20 FTE dedicated to research ethics activities, and with two research institutes (one at UAMS and one at ACH) and a CTSA, we believe the ideal candidate will have opportunities to grow support for more dedicated time and activities for research ethics.
