Many employers now offer workplace genetic testing (WGT) as a health and wellness benefit. Such services could provide employees with valuable personal health information, but they also raise ELSI concerns. This panel examines potential WGT benefits, harms, and limitations from multiple stakeholder perspectives. It features an interdisciplinary team—representing fields including genetic counseling, law, public policy, public health, ethics, and health psychology—actively collaborating on a large NIH-funded WGT research project.
