In this talk, attendees learned to examine and appraise ethical and social considerations of the use and implementation of polygenic embryo screening.

In 2022 the US Supreme Court Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization overturned federal protection for abortion. This historic ruling not only relegates this authority to state legislatures but raises the possibility of restrictions on a range of reproductive technologies. Experts that joined this ELSI Friday Forum was reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist Sigal Klipstein and legal scholar and expert on assisted reproductive technologies Judith Daar on the changing regulatory landscape and the use of genomics in reproductive health.
